We had a great time at this venue, it was a good deal, intriguing, and well-located near a restaurant and the forest; it was especially charming in the morning sunlight by the walls.

I had enjoyable stay, the place is great value!

i had a double room and it was great-sized with dogs to run around outside, a hairdryer, for example.

The bistro attached to the Chateau is a wonderful location for a meal. It is situated in the forest, providing a lovely setting in the early morning warmth under the ramparts. The rooms are clean, with modern bathrooms. The staff is attentive and the breakfast is excellent. There is also free wifi available without any hassle.

The service in the restaurant can be slow and overwhelmed at times.

I recently stayed at Chateau De Mavaleix for a few nights and it was an absolute delight. The rustic charm of this castle hotel truly made for a unique and memorable experience. The park and swimming pool were beautiful, perfect for enjoying the midsummer weather. The terrace provided a lovely setting for al fresco dining and the food at the restaurant was excellent, with a focus on organic products. The room itself was comfortable and tastefully decorated, with a touch of rustic flair. The owner, a friendly Dutchman, made us feel very welcome. In terms of value for money, this hotel is a winner. The location in rural green Perigord added to the overall appeal.

    Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel had a beautiful swimming pool and a nice park. The location was great, surrounded by green countryside and in a peaceful setting.

The staff were not friendly and did not speak good English. The food at the restaurant was not homemade and overpriced.

We were blown away by the grandeur and charm of this majestic castle-turned-hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a delightful rustic touch. The surroundings were peaceful and the pool was a perfect spot to relax in the evening. The value for money was exceptional and the multilingual staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. This hidden gem is ideal for families and the restaurant served delicious food on weekends. Definitely planning to return for a longer stay.

The location and grounds were mind-blowing, with plenty of space for families to run around. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere made us feel super welcome. The comfortable bed and provided tea/coffee/water were a jaw-dropping surprise. The excellent breakfast with lovely coffee was a great way to start the day. The staff were incredible, always polite and nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding field was perfect for children to play in. The modern bathroom was a nice touch. Although my husband didn't enjoy his meal, the waitress was delightful. The impressive and grand chateau was a wow factor, and our host greeted us warmly. The clean and well-appointed rooms provided an amazing night's sleep. The pool was a fantastic spot to relax in the evening sunshine. Breakfast under the ramparts was a lovely experience. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay. This place comes highly recommended. Great value for money with amazing local restaurants nearby.
